Synopsis: "Spinning out of the SPIDER-VERSE event, a team of Spiders finds themselves face-to-face with Battleworld! Starring SPIDERGWEN, SPIDER-MAN NOIR, SPIDER-MAN: INDIA, MAYDAY PARKER, SPIDER-UK and SPIDER-HAM!"

Spider-verse was one of the big events for Marvel last year. The Spider-verse occurs when nearly all of the iterations of Spider-man join forces to figure out just how they came to exist together. Spider-verse: Warzones features SpiderGwen, Spider-man Noir, Spider-man: India, Mayday Parker, Spider-UK, and last but not least, Spider-ham.

SpiderGwen really takes center stage as she is employed by Norman Osborn and has discovered that he is hiding a secret. As the secret is uncovered, she learns that she isn't the only super powered Spider in town. As all of the Spider heroes meet up they join forces and confront Osborn, only to uncover exactly how they all came to be on one plane of existance.

While the story is interesting, it isn't as spectacular (yeah, I went there) as I was hoping. Peter Parker isn't Spider-man in this iteration and so he is constantly being saved by Gwen. It was great to see all the different Spiders but the story could have easily been done with one of them and it would have still worked. It adds very little to the mythos of Spider-man and really felt like it was a placeholder for something else. That all the stories collected are a part of a minor side story that could have easily been forgotten but were collected only for the purpose of making a quick buck.

If you want to be a completionist for this event, then by all means, pick it up. Otherwise I would skip it and grab something else.

Overall 6/10
