Amazing cover by Richard Anderson
I hope you are all having a great week, and you love what you're currently reading.

If you're like me, one of the books that you're looking forward to reading this spring is Brian Staveley's The Last Mortal Bond, the third and the concluding installment of Staveley's Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne.

I've already pre-ordered my copy - a signed and personalized copy. You see... I'm a sucker for signed books of the authors I like. A few days ago Brian announced that two of his local bookshops will have signed (and personalized if pre-ordered) copies of The Last Mortal Bond, and I wanted to spread the word, in case some of you would not like to miss such an opportunity. Here's what Brian said about it:

2015 was an exciting year. The books are being translated into nine languages at this point. The Emperor's Blades won some awards and was shortlisted for others. The Providence of Fire seems to be following in its footsteps, and I'm thrilled with the early reception readers are giving The Last Mortal Bond. Kirkus, in a starred review, called it "deeply satisfying," and Fantasy Faction gave the book 10/10 stars, saying, "The culmination of Staveley's tale succeeds in every possible way, delivering readers a truly epic tale full of memorable characters, clever politics, an intelligent magic system, brutal battle scenes, and witty dialogue."
...
You can preorder a signed, personalized copy (of The Last Mortal Bond or any of the others) from either Bartleby's Books (bartbook@sover.net; 802.464.5425) or Everyone's Books (802.254.8160). Both are local bookshops here in southeastern VT. I sign 'em, they ship 'em (within the US and Canada).
If you're planning to buy the book, please consider a preorder. Preorders are vital for authors for a whole batch of crucial reasons
For audible fans, Simon Vance is back! He was shortlisted for an Audie for his performance of The Emperor's Blades, and his recording of The Last Mortal Bond, weighing in at 30 hours, is now up for preorder.
Finally, for the e-readers, you can find the book at both Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
